Lower Axle

Lower Axle is a Reisuii mining village in the Deep under the Isle of Kasau. Lower Axle is surrounded by a forest of glowing cave mushrooms, and has a river dividing it down the center. On the Eastern side of the village is a large tin mine.

Warning:Upper and Lower Axle are still being written and very likely to change as I expand on their stories. The name of this town in particular is subject to change as the backstory develops.

Mining

There is a large tin mine on the eastern side of Lower Axle, with a network of hand-carved tunnels extending deep under Mount Gajoi. Much of the tin mined in Lower Axle is transported to Upper Axle for smelting into bronze.

Transportation

Forest Mines Railway Station

The Forest Mines Railway runs through Lower Axle and terminates in the nearby village of Upper Axle. The Railway provides trains for passengers and industrial cargo, and continues Northeast toward the Reisuii city of unnamed city.

Ownership

  • The claim for Hytzl-Kay Tin Mine was made by Ian Hytzl-Kay the Seventh, an independent prospector.
  • The Village of Lower Axle was founded by Vaun Hytzl-Kay, Kalii Kay-Hytzl, Dan Hytzl-Kay, and Sara Kay-Hytzl. They and their decedents hold a large majority of shares in the mine and village.
  • The Forest Mines Railway owns shares in the village and mine.
  • Builders who helped establish the village hold a small number of shares in the village and mine.
  • Miners hold a small number of shares in the mine.
Info:The mines of Upper and Lower Axle were claimed a few years before the  Kasau Expedition. The extension of the Forest Mines Railway and construction of the villages was well underway during the incident involving the unknown entities, but the Hytzl-Kay family adamantly insists rumors of the event are false and that miners should not spread such tales.
