What if we don't reach $120k

So what happens if they don't reach $120,000 in a month or less?

We have nearly the entire duration of a normal Kickstarter campaign remaining to reach our goal, but needless to say missing our goal would significantly hinder Antilia's development (that after spending most of our dev time in 2013 on the KS as well.)

Statistically 60% of Kickstarter projects that reach 20% of their goal go on to be funded successfully, and Antilia can too - if EVERYONE helps us spread the word!

Yep, you could start up your own crowd funding site and have people pay with paypal or amazon or something like that.

It looks like interest is picking up again.

I think the fact that we hit the magical 'better chances than a coin flip' point during the holiday season, god forbid, is a good sign. I was worried too but looking at it now I can only see support going farther. I have high hopes for it, and have been trying to spread the word as best I can

I have a few questions:

If the campaign fails, can you immediately restart it, or is there some time limit, or a limit to the number of times you can relaunch your campaign? If you can try again, will you just use the same info, rewards, etc, or would you have to spend time to reevaluate all and make a new campaign, taking away more time from the development of the game?

Kickstarter campaigns can be modified and re-launched, but considering how much effort went into the first campaign I'd say that is unlikely for us. The reason we chose Kickstarter was to see if we could raise the funds to create a complete, polished experience for Antilia. Any goals short of what we included would really only take Antilia into beta. (I know there is at least one other mmo on Kickstarter right now that previously ran a campaign just to reach 'beta', and are now running a second campaign to complete what they started - but I find that pretty disingenuous myself, and really wish it was against KS rules.)

Yeah we noticed that too on the steam group chat... they're pretty much milking KS now. What I give to mallet that indie group...
