What Anime are You Watching?

Jen: 10
Currently watching the "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" As a recommendation from 'GRArkada' over on YouTube. It's a fun show with a spice of supernatural like qualities added.

From there I have other animes i'll get back to later.

Dragging this one back up, so I don't have to create another thread for it :P

Right now watching (all currently airing):
  • Sidonia no Kishi (Knights of Sidonia): mechs and giant aliens in spaaaaaaace - what's not to like? Designated warriors must fight the Gauna, a race of giant alien life forms responsible for the near-extinction of humanity, to defend the seed ship Sidonia, one of the last remnants of human existence. Actually surprisingly good, with what may be one of my favorite OPs from any series. Some blood, some horror, lots of feels as it progresses
  • M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane (The Black Steel): A group of students in training to become mech pilots battles Apparitions, mysterious once-human beings from the Lightless Zone, and works to uncover the mysteries behind them and the stranger-still Corpses. Fairly good, but extremely dark; expect blood and a feels trip.
  • No Game No Life: a brother-and-sister team of NEETs, bored with their absolute domination of online gaming, finds themselves plunged into a world where everything is determined by games, and rules are optional. Tends to be fairly light-hearted so far, also fairly good.
  • Mekakucity Actors: a group of teens/young adults with varied powers bands together to protect each other and others, as Kisaragi works to unravel his past. Amazing so far, tends to be very lighthearted.

I am why we can't have nice things.

I rewatch Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt every couple of months.
It's about angels who shoot and stab things with their underwear, and it's got the art style of a budget western cartoon too.
It's rude; It's crude; But it's got one rad soundtrack.

Let me just.... dust off this thread a bit....

From when this started and up to this point, I did not have a lot of experience with anime, though I wanted to get more into it. Now, I feel I got a pretty good understanding about what I like watching and not in terms of anime and therefor, feel like I can finally post my say in this topic. XP ((For the record, I did follow some of the suggestions on this thread and that did help quite a bit.))

Recently, I finished watching One Punch Man. It's a really good action/parody/comedy sort of show. My only grip about it currently is that it's only one season long and though it ends ok for the most part there are quite few things that are left unexplained. Hopefully, there will be a season two to fix that and if not it still was a pretty good show to watch.

As for what I've been watching now, it varies. I tend to jump from show to show without finishing them right away if it's not engaging enough for me...

So, currently jumping between:
-Soul Eater. ((A popularly known one. Interesting art style. 51 episodes. Alright so far.))

-Hellsing. ((Another popular one. Takes a slightly interesting take on the whole vampire genre.))

-K-On!! ((Four-ish high school girls form a club all about making upbeat music. Keep hearing people mention this one so I just ended up checking it out. Pretty funny and entertaining so far. Not exactly for everyone though.))

-Kobato. ((One of Clamps works. If you're looking for a clean/happy feels sort of anime this is something I'd recommend checking out.))

-Natsume's Book of Friends. ((If you liked shows like Mushi-shi and xxholic, might check it out. Very laid back sort of anime.))

After those, I've been thinking about looking into Sound of the Sky ((had a Kino's Journey vibe to it and I really liked Kino's Journey. X_X)) and NieA_7 ((Yoshitoshi ABe helped make it and I liked the other stuff he's helped with too.)).

I love different genres of anime. Now I am keen on "Seraphim of the end".
It is about people and vampires.
