So friends... What games have you been into lately, and why?

Also I'm curious, what kind of computer is everyone running nowadays? Are you happy with it?

I've been playing a lot of Mass Effect Andromeda lately, it's not as great as 2 but better than 3. Also I've been playing on a HP Windows 8.1 Laptop, not as good as my Vista tower but will do in a pinch.

I've been meaning to go back and finish the Mass Effect series myself, I loved the first game.

Lately I've been playing Skyrim VR, Subnautica, and Elite Dangerous on occasion.

Sounds like you are playing on some older systems, Fayola. How does Mas Effect run on them?

@Jeff: How is Skyrim VR?

I've been thinking of picking up a Mixed Reality Headset. Although not quite on par with Vive / Oculus, I've heard a lot of good things about them.

I am really enjoying Skyrim VR, I sometimes catch myself talking to the NPCs thinking they can hear me.

What about yourself, what have you been playing?

Ahh shoot I had this whole thing typed out last night. I took too long, and the site logged me out and wiped out the text. UGH! -

I've been just absolutely obsessing over Automation and Beam.NG lately.

In Automation you play as automotive company. You create vehicles from the ground up, including the many aspects of the chassis and drivetrain. The amount of options makes it a lot of fun. The game has a glaring flaw though; you can't drive your creations.

Most of us are familiar with Beam.NG. I adore this game. It's developed from a previous free game called Rigs of Rods, and the roadmap for it looks very exiting.

Aaaaanyways I always thought it would be neat if the two developers teamed up so you could use your Automation creations in Beam.NG... And, that is exactly what happened! You can now export vehicles from Automation and drive them around Beam.NG.

I could keep gushing but I think you get the idea.

That's good to hear. I am always leery of non native VR games on VR. I hear Guildwars 2 looks good too.

What other games have you tried it on? Any time spent on VR chat? haha.

Neat - I've seen a few games similar to those, but not those specifically before.

I haven't spent time in VR chat to speak of. The VR games library is still fairly small with a lot of experimental indie stuff. With a lot of those games once you've seen the "latest cool thing to try in VR" you never play them again. Skyrim is by far my favorite, but I also enjoyed Arizona Sunshine, and Elite Dangerous in VR. Fallout 4 is also good when I'm in that sort of mood.

I've been playing way too much of the game Second Life. I finally got back into it and building/programming all sorts of wacky gadgets, which I missed dearly. Besides that, playing Warframe if I've still got progress objectives to fulfill. Beyond that, lots of idle games like "Crusaders of the Lost Idols" if I want to step away from my computer but never feel like I've stopped gaming, heh.

Regarding computers, I suck at describing tech, but I've gotten a newer one (with lower budget in mind) near the start of this year. Replaced the PC I had and randomly upgraded since 2009 once those upgrades started breaking.
