There's something I need to address that I overlooked for several months regarding this statement from my initial post.

Quote by blueslyster:
To those joining or part of the Antilia Steam Group, you need at least ONE paid game on your steam account to join the group chat (not counting F2P games you invested money in that's on the steam store, they don't count. Not yet confirmed about subscription games though). You know you have a paid game when you have the One-stop Shopper badge (including 5+, 10+, 25+, 50+, 100+, 250+, 500+, 1k+, and 2k+) on your profile. If you don't have that badge at least, you can't join in the group chat. You can get one as a gift to count towards that badge. It's Steam's policy, not ours.

Steam changed their policy on Limited Accounts and the requirements to be Full Accounts. You are now required to spend $5 USD minimum within the Steam Store to join Group chat. This is Steam's New Policy, not ours. There are plenty of games you can purchase for $5 or more in the store.

Examples given from the support page.
  • Adding the equivalent of $5 USD or more to your Steam Wallet
  • Purchasing game(s) that are equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store
  • Adding a Steam Wallet card that is equal to $5 USD or more to your Steam account
  • Purchasing a Steam gift that is equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store (Receiving a Steam gift from a friend doesn't count)

Examples that won't work also from the support page.
  • Activating a retail game on Steam
  • Playing free demos
  • Adding a non-Steam game as a shortcut
  • Adding/playing promotional trials like Free Weekends
  • Free to Play games (Examples: Alien Swarm, free versions of Portal and Team Fortress 2)
  • Activating promotional CD Keys from hardware or graphic card manufacturers

This new policy does NOT apply to non-limited users prior to this change. (Unknown when it was changed exactly but no sooner than Spring 2015).

The policy was changed due to scamming attempts from Level 0, private profile users that would send out random friend requests and phisher links for a "trade offer". Believed to be mostly targeted at CS:GO players. It has helped drastically to subdue that infestation.

Again, this is Steam's New Policy for joining group chat, not Antilia's. Sorry to anyone this may affect.
