EDIT: Due to some confusion over the state of Antilia's development, I have re-titled this blog post. Antilia is in active development, and is not yet ready for testers. Antilia has a new, basic client - but it is by no means a complete, playable game.

Admittedly, it is a very simple game. This month, as previously suggested, I began working on actual game-play. Volunteer developers can log in, walk around, and chat with one another - and I tried to put a good bit of polish into making those functions work and feel smooth.

This is a development screenshot, and should not be taken for how the game will appear at launch.

We now have a working foundation for the game. From here, I will simply continue adding to it - adding new tools, new features, new playable breeds, and new content each month. Personally, I am very excited by the potential. The Toi tools are simple enough that volunteers seem to be picking them up quickly; and as I add more tools, I think the game can really grow fast. Once the content exceeds what the volunteers can test (and I have a suitable server that can handle more players), I will start to think about alpha testing.

In March, I will be adding a new toolbar to the world editor that will allow objects created in the mesh editor to be positioned within the world as scenery. Then we can begin creating a real world, with real places to explore.
